Detailed program

Day 01. Phnom Penh Arrival

Upon arrival in Phnom Penh, you will be welcomed by our tour guide and transferred to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at hotel in Phnom Penh.
Check-in time: from 2:00 p.m. Earlier check-in is possible for a surcharge.

Day 02. Phnom Penh visit

After breakfast at hotel, you will be visiting the National Museum, the largest archaeological museum contains a collection of Khmer art - notably sculptures - throughout history. Then, you will get to visit the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda, which is located within the grounds of the Royal Palace. The Silver Pagoda is named so because of its floor, which is made up of 5000 silver tiles. Your next destination will be Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21 prison), which used to be a high school but was turned into a prison by Pol Pot's security forces and became the largest center for detention and torture during the rule of the Khmer Rouge. For the night, you will stay at the hotel in Phnom Penh.

Day 03. Phnom Penh – Kampong Cham

After breakfast, we will leave Phnom Penh behind and depart for Kampong Cham. Kampong Cham is one of the most important cities in Cambodia. We will get to visit remarkable places there. On the way, we will stop at the village of Skun to take a look at a special market where villagers sell varieties of insects. Then, continue to visit the first destination - the Koh Pen bamboo bridge, a powerful symbol of Cambodia's changing landscape. It exposes the tensions between old and new. After that, you will be visiting Wat Nokor pagoda, which is a modern Theravada Buddhist pagoda squeezed into the walls of an 12th-century Mahayana Buddhist shrine of sandstone and laterite. Finally, end the day by enjoying the beauty of the wonderful ancient mountains - the Mount Phnom Bros and Phnom Srey. Overnight at hotel in Kampong Cham.

Day 04. Kampong Cham – Siem Reap

After breakfast, we will leave for Siem Reap. Stop on the way to see the rubber plantation and then the Naga bridge at Kompong Kdei. Built in the 10th century, this oldest bridge in Southeast Asia is built entirely of solid sandstone and laterite. Lunch enroute, then , you will head to visit the floating village Kampong Phluk, and fisherman life there. After that, continue to transfer to Siem Reap. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 05. Siem Reap – Angkor Thom – Angkor Wat

In the morning, we visit the complex of Angkor Thom, including the sites Bayon, Terraces of Elephants and Leper King, Tep Pranam, Prah Palulay, Phimeanakas, Baphuon. We continue to Ta Prohm has been abandoned to the elements, a reminder that while empires rise and fall, the riotous power of nature marches on, oblivious to the dramas of human history. In the afternoon, we start exploring the Wonder of the World “Angkor Wat temple” which was built in the early 12th century by King Suryavarman II and is considered as a masterpiece of Khmer architecture. In the evening, enjoy Cambodia circus – Phare performers. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 06. Siem Reap – Banteay Srei – Banteay Samre – Pre Rup – Preah Khan

After breakfast at the hotel, we visit Banteay Srei Temple. It is built largely of red sandstone, which is covered with elaborate and deeply carved decoration. The buildings themselves are miniature in scale. These factors have made the temple extremely popular with tourists, and have led to its being widely praised as a "precious gem", or the "jewel of Khmer art". After that we continue to visit Banteay Samre Temple, this monument takes its name from the Samre people, is found to the east of the earth embankment forming the eastern wall of the East Baray. There is a legend connecting the naming of this monument with a farmer who mistakenly killed the king then ascended the throne and Lake of Sras Sang. Then, visit Preah Khan, the temple was constructed in late 12th century, it originally served as a Buddhist monastery, school and a short residence of King Jayavarman VII during the reconstruction of his permanent home in Angkor Thom. Continue our day by visiting Pre Rup temple which has an excellent view of the surrounding countryside.  At the end of the day, you can enjoy a dinner with traditional Khmer Dance & Apsara show. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 07. Siem Reap – Kbal Spean – Phnom Kulen Mountain

This morning, we travel outside of Siem Reap to Kbal Spean. Kbal Spean is known as “the river of thousands lingas”. The ruins in Kbal Spean is right on top of the hill. It’s a 2km hike up on a path over tree roots and boulders to get to the river carvings and water fall. Then, continue our day with the excursion to Phnom Kulen mountain, visit Preah Ang Thom pagoda with its giant reclining Buddha, then enyoy swimming at the warterfall. Drive back to to Siem Reap. Stay overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.
Transfer hotel – Kbal Spean: 50km (1 – 1.5 hour)

Day 08. Siem Reap – Battambang

Morning after breakfast, transfer to Battambang - Cambodia’s second-largest city, which was founded in the 11th century. It is the former capital of Monton Khmer and lies in the heart of the Northwest Cambodia. Arrive in Battambang, we visit a century-old Governor House that belonged respectively to the Thai and French governors. Many agricultural tools, musical instruments and clothes from the life of yesteryear are preserved there. Then, we will drive along the Sanker river through the charming country side until Wat Ek Phnom temple. It is a Hindu temple built in the 11th century under the rule of king Suryavarman I. Though partly collapsed and looted, it is still famous for its well-carved lintels and pediments. On the way, we can stop at the local village, where there are locals who still make rice paper by hand. Overnight at hotel in Battambang.
Transfer Siem Reap – Battambang: 170km (3hrs)

Day 09. Battambang visit

We start the day by visiting the traditional house of Phum Wat Kor. Then, we will embark on a bamboo train and enjoy the amazing experience. It is a 7km route on a former railway and definitely a unique activity in Cambodia. Return to Battambang to visit the provincial museum and stroll through the town center with your guide to admire its colonial architecture, chinese shop-houses and colorful temples. Finally, drive to Phnom Banon, with its five sandstone towers on top of a hill and enjoy the magnificent view of the surrounding plains until sunset. We will stay overnight at the hotel in Battambang.

Day 10. Battambang – Phnom Penh

After breakfast, depart for Phnom Penh. Stop in the region of Pusat where you can admire the colonial architecture and visit a floating village Kompong Luong in Kampong Chnang, visit the silversmith village before arriving in Kandal where you will discover the abandoned royal city of Oudong with many temples and beautiful statues. Then, transfer to Phnom Penh where you will spend the night at hotel.
Transfer Battambang – Phnom Penh: 290 km (5,5-6hrs)

Day 11. Phnom Penh - Departure

After breakfast, free leisure by your own activities until transfer to the airport for departure flight.
