Detailed program

Day 01. Hanoi arrival

Arrival in Hanoi by flight 
Welcome by local guide, transfer by bus to hotel in the city center. The rest of the day is free of leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02. Hanoi city tour

Full day to discover the capital of Vietnam. Beginning by the Tran Quoc Pagoda, then Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed on Monday and Friday – visit outside). Visit Temple of Literature, dedicated to Confucius and his disciples and the Restored Sword Lake, famous of the legend of the tortoise and the sword of 15th century, also visit Ngoc Son temple. In the afternoon, visit the Ethnology Museum and enjoy an one-hour ride in a traditional rickshaw around Hanoi’s old quarter

Day 03. Hanoi – Bac Ha

Breakfast at hotel, then transfer to Bac Ha via new highway. Bac Ha quiet town is located on 950m height. Mainly ethnic minority is Flower H’Mong, other are Dao, Tay, Phu La, Nung…They live peaceful together and crop: maize, rice, cassava, fruit-tree on landing slope since 200 years. Arrive Bac Ha and have a free time after a long transfer. And then to discover the culture and daily life of several tribes in the region. The hike from the village of Thai Giang Pho through a picturesque valley and the green vegetable gardens, the cornfields, the rice terraces are held peacefully. Arrival at Na Lo at the end of the afternoon. Short transfer to Bac Ha. Overnight at hotel

Day 04. Bac Ha – Ta Van Chu – Bac Ha

After breakfast, we start trekking from Bac Ha town to Ta van Chu Village about 15km. The road is a bit difficult with continuous uphill, but nice landscape with terraced fields on roadsides and the path will climb more and more in the middle of villages and rice terraces. Come back to Bac Ha for overnight.
Approx: 5 -6hrs/ 18km trekking Ascending: 500 /Descending: 500m, Altitude 1200n

Day 05. Bac Ha – Sapa – Hang Da – Ta Van Village

After breakfast, visit Sunday market Bac Ha. This is the most important of the region attracting many ethnic groups dressed in their colorful traditional costumes. Hmong Flowered, Tays, Nungs, Phula and Red Dao are the most well known tribes. They come down from the mountain to sell domestic animals, rice, sugar cane, fresh fruit, and especially corn alcohol. After that, transfer to Sapa.
Lunch at a local restaurant in Sa Pa and short transfer by car to the village of Hang Da which is located in the nature of the Hoang Lien. Walk on the paved trails that will cross many villages unknown to travelers. Meet with the black Hmong and the red Dzao on your way. The trail passes on the side of a high mountain offers a magnificent view of the Muong Hoa Valley where you will have green rice in June, July, and yellow rice in September. Arrival in Ta Van after 4 hours of walking.

Day 06. Ta Van – Lao Chai – Y Linh Ho – Cat Cat - Sapa

Start a full day light trekking trip towards Muong Hoa valley to visit some villages of the H’mong, the Dzay people. Go through hillsides along Muong Hoa River via Lao Chai, Cat Cat, Y Linh Ho Village. Enjoy beautiful landscapes, green terraced paddy fields. Discover the life of the people with different cultures. Back to your hotel in Sa Pa in the afternoon. Overnight at the hotel in Sa Pa.

Day 07. Sapa – Hanoi – Walking tour in the Old Quarter

Today, you will be free in the morning until our guide will pick you up and come with you back to Hanoi by the new highway. Arrival in Hanoi, check in and after that you take time for walking tour in the Old Quarter. Ovenight in Hanoi

Day 08. Hanoi – Halong

Arrive in Hanoi railway station in the early morning (NO EARLY CHECK IN). After breakfast, we set off to Halong Bay on a scenic highway with immense rice fields through the heart of Red River Delta. In Ha long city, we embark on a boat for a full afternoon cruise among limestone islands scattering up from emerald water of this spectacular bay. Ha Long Bay was recognized as a Natural World Heritage by UNESCO in 1994 and is worldwide known for its unique landscape endowed by the nature. We explore some beautiful grottos such as Wooden Sticks or Heaven Palace; and have opportunity to take nice pictures while we are climbing up the Ti Top Mount from which we can get a stunning panoramic view over the bay (340 steps, 200 m up, then same 200 m down).
At the end of the day, we cast anchor in the Bay and overnight on boat. Fresh seafood meal is prepared on boat by our professional cookers.

Day 09. Halong – Hanoi

The next day, white sand beaches appear gradually as the tide goes down. Opportunities for sea bathing. We take a boat to reach the fishing village or visit Luon Grotto. Cruise back on land and we transfer to Hanoi by bus. Water puppet show in the evening. Overnight in hotel in Hanoi.

Day 10. Hanoi - Siem Reap

Free time till transfer to the airport for flight to Siemreap. Arrive Siem Reap, enjoy one hour Khmer traditional body massage without oil at a local shop to recover your energy and enjoy the rest of your evening free in Siem Reap. In the evening we are invited into the house of a local family. We sit down at the dinner table, listen to their stories and learn more about their everyday routine, beliefs and traditions. They teach us some basic Khmer phrases. After dinner we can visit the local night market, a colorful and vibrant dining and shopping experience in a modern Khmer environment.

Day 11. Siem Reap temple visit

We hop on our bike and cycle to world heritage areas on the roads less travelled. Ride among the jungle passing local village and local shop, explore some of Angkor’s most beautiful temples. You will visit the West Gate of Angkor Thom – undiscovered by mass tourist.
We continue our bike to Ta Prohm has been abandoned to the elements, a reminder that while empires rise and fall, the riotous power of nature marches on, oblivious to the dramas of human history. The tour end with the visiting to the famous temple: Angkor Wat - World Heritage Site since 1992. Dinner at local restaurant. Back to hotel for overnight and relax.

Day 12. Siem Reap - Kbal Spean - Phnom Kulen

This morning we travel outside of Siem Reap to Kbal Spean by bus. First visit Banteay Samre on the way: Its rose-colored sandstone walls are decorated with carvings and bas-reliefs, which are among the most accomplished Angkor has to offer. We continue to drive to visit Kbal Spean – known as “the river of thousands lingas”, The ruins in Kbal spean is right on top of the hill. It’s a 2km hike up on a path over tree roots and boulders to get to the river carvings and water fall. Start hiking from Svay Lue Village into the bamboo forest in 1hour – part of Kulen National Park. Back to Siem Reap and overnight at hotel.

Day 13. Siem Reap - Tonle Sap Lake - Banteay Srei

We depart for Kompong Phluk by bus. On route we take in a fantastic local market, an ideal short stop for photos and a wonderful change to capture some amazing sights. We journey by boat down to the village passing some incredible sights along the way.
Once at the village you have an incredible chance to explore this amazing place. People’s livelihoods are built around the water, with fish and shrimp harvesting being a staple. We explore the forest by paddleboat cruise inside to flooded forest.
Afternoon free for your own time. Overnight at hotel
