VIETNAM ENTRY UPDATE: Mandatory Digital Pre-Arrival Form (QR Pre-Arrival Form)

From June 2026, the QR Pre-Arrival Form is required for all international travelers arriving at the following international airports in Vietnam:

  • Noi Bai International Airport (HAN) – Hanoi
  • Phu Quoc International Airport (PQC) – Phu Quoc Island
  • Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) – Ho Chi Minh City

WHAT IS THE QR PRE-ARRIVAL FORM?

The QR Pre-Arrival Form is an electronic declaration required before entering Vietnam. Once submitted, a QR code will be generated and may be requested by immigration officers upon arrival.

WHO DOES IT APPLY TO?

  1. Foreign passport holders.
  2. Overseas Vietnamese citizens entering Vietnam with a valid visa.

WHEN TO COMPLETE IT?

Option 1 – Before Departure (Recommended)
Complete the form up to 3 days before departure.

Option 2 – Upon Arrival at the Airport    
Scan the QR code available in the immigration area and complete the form on arrival. Please note that this may result in longer waiting times.

HOW TO COMPLETE IT?

  1. Visit the official portal: https://prearrival.immigration.gov.vn/
  2. Complete and submit the form
  3. Save the QR code.

WHY COMPLETE IT BEFORE TRAVELING?

  1. Save time at immigration: During busy periods, immigration queues can be considerably long.
  2. Reduce paperwork upon arrival: Avoid having to complete additional documentation after a long flight.
