Detailed program

Day 01. Siem Reap arrival

Upon arrival in Siem Reap, you will be welcomed by our tour guide and transferred to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 02. Siem Reap – Angkor complex

Have breakfast at the hotel, then we start the day with a visit to the South Gate of Angkor Thom (Angkor Thom means "Great City" in English), the famous Bayon Temple built in late 12th century, the Baphoun Temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, Terrace of the Elephants, Terrace of Leper King and Phimean Akas. Continue to visit Ta Prohm, embraced by tree routes and gigantic creepers. Have lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit the World Heritage site "Angkor Wat", which is the world's largest religious building. In the evening, enjoy Cambodia circus – Phare performers. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 03. Siem Reap - Angkor complex

Start our day with visiting Banteay Srei, "The Citadel of Women" built when the Khmer Empire was gaining significant power. Like numerous others, it is dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. This destination is especially remarkable for being a masterpiece of Khmer art with intricate pink sandstone construction and ornate design. Followed up will be a visit Bamteay Samre, a Hindu temple in the architectural style of Angkor Wat. Then, transfer to Preak Dak village to participate in a local village activities such as: visiting sugar palm and farmer rural life with ox-cart tour, learn to make sugar palm and to make Krolan (cooking rice in bamboo or Rice plantation). Stay overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 04. Siem Reap - Floating village - Flight to Saigon

We will directly transfer to the floating village of Kompong Pluk to discover the daily life in Cambodia. We will then board a traditional wooden boat for a short cruise on the river and Tonle Sap Lake (called Grand Lake). We will get to explore lifely and populated villages with wooden houses on stilts. Here, fishing is practived by everyone, from children to women in their 70s. Then we will return to landing and get back to the hotel. In the afternoon, you take a flight from Siem Reap to Saigon, Vietnam. Overnight at hotel in Saigon.

Day 05. Saigon – Cu Chi tunnel – City tour

This morning, after breakfast, we will visit the Cu Chi Tunnel, situated 40 km northwest from Ho Chi Minh City. This complex of underground tunnels stretching over more than 250km and was made by the Viet Cong guerillas during the war against the Americans. The cleverly constructed tunnel was the key to victory over the modern American forces. During our excursion we also learn more about what ‘Viet Cong life’ looked like during these times. In the afternoon, we experience the hustle and bustle of this big city with a city tour. You will be visiting the General Post Office, then continue to visit The Reunification Palace, which was formerly known as Presidential Palace and was the residence of the president of South Vietnam until the end of April 1975. Next on the sightseeing list is pagoda of the Emperor of Jade, icon of the inhabitants of Saigon and venerated for a hundred years. The prayers of the faithful (passing through) would increase fertility and even influence it. Another site that cannot be missed is the bustling Ben Thanh Market. Overnight at the hotel in Saigon.

Day 06. Saigon - Ben Tre – Saigon

You will be picked up at your hotel in the morning and driven to Ben Tre. Upon arrival at Hung Vuong pier you will embark a boat to cruise on Ben Tre River, one of the tributaries of the Mekong River. The boat will cruise along the Ham Luong river (a branch of the Mekong) and stop off at various local workplaces to give you a picture of how the local economy works, including a brickworks, where bricks are still painstakingly made by hand; a coconut processing workshop, where you can sample fresh coconut and see how every single part of this versatile nut is turned into food and other products; and a mat weaving house, where straw mats are woven using a hand loom – you can even have a go at weaving yourself!
The boat will then stop at a quiet village where you can have a nice walk to experience real Delta village life and have lunch at a local restaurant. Relax and keep going by rowing boat along the canal. You will be dropped off at the local market or An Thanh pier. Drive back to Saigon. Overnight at hotel in Saigon.
Transfer Saigon – Ben Tre – Saigon : 200km/4 – 4.5 hours

Day 07. Sai Gon - flight to Hoi An

You are free until transfer to the airport for flight to Da Nang. Then transfer to Hoi An to check- in to the hotel. Overnight at hotel in Hoi An.

Transfer Da Nang – Hoi An: 30km (50m – 1h)

Day 08. Hoi An visit – Cooking class

After breakfast at the hotel, you will participate in a cooking class in Hoi An. A chef-guided tour to the local colorful and crowded Hoi An market, and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. We will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and purchase some of the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later. On the way back to restaurant, walk along the busy river bank before boarding our boat for a transfer to the restaurant. It takes around 25 mins on the quiet river, see the living activities of local fishing people. Start cooking lesson, your chef will introduce you to the local ingredients, take you through the preparation, and explain the Hoi An style of cooking. Then it is your turn to turn the ingredients into a delicious meal. Some typical dishes in Hoi An: Tra Que vegetable salad, Banh Xeo (Vietnamese Pancake), and Mi Quang Chicken Noodles.
In the afternoon, you will have time to explore the speaceful beauty of Hoi An. Hoi An is one of the largest trading ports in Southeast Asia, which was founded between the 15th and the 19th cecentury. Stroll through the narrow and winding streets of the old quarter with your guide to visit the Chua Ong Pagoda, the Chinese Assembly Hall, and the Japanese Bridge. The old town of Hoi An with its narrow streets and small shops is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. Overnight at hotel in Hoi An.

Day 09. Hoi An – Fish and Chip

In the monrning, drive to the boat pier, embark on the boat to Cam Thanh water coconut village, enjoy casting net show and learn how to cast net by local fisher man and you will take on the basket boat along the water coconut river, you will learn how to catch the crabs and see a wonderful performance with boat by fisherman. After that, you bike along the peaceful villages and back to the hotel. In the afternoon, you will visit Hoi An ancient town: Japanese Covered Bridge, Phung Hung acient House and the Tan Ky ancient house and a latern workshop where you can see how to make a real latern. Overnight in hotel in Hoi An.

Day 10. Hoi An – flight to Hanoi

After breakfast, you will have the morning free at your leisure to discover Hoi An old town or go to the beach. In the afternoon, transfer to Da Nang Airport for flight to Hanoi, the capital of VietNam. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.

Day 11. Hanoi city – street food

Today we have plenty of time to discover Hanoi. We start our city-trip with a visit of the Ho Chi Minh Complex: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, and House on stilt then Temple of Literature. In the afternoon we visit the Ethnographic Museum (closed on Monday). And then, strolling in Hanoi old quarter and visit the restored Sword Lake, famous of the legend of the tortoise and the sword of 15th century.
Hanoi is one of the world’s greatest street food cities and there’s no better way to unlock the hidden secrets of the Old Quarter and it’s cuisine than through this unique small group walking tour. Discovering the capital through food as a local is a highlight of the journey. You have chance to go thru the corners of Hanoi to taste some foods such as: Lemon Tea (near Cathedral), Bun Cha - made by grilled meat, rice vermicelli mixes with sweet and sour grated salad and mixed fish sauce, espcially enjoy local beer at the end of the trip. In the evening, you will join water puppets show. Stay overnight at the hotel in Hanoi.

Day 12. Hanoi – Toy figurine (tò he) making village – Ninh Binh

After breakfast at the hotel, we transfer to Xuan La village to visit an interesting Tò he (Toy Figurine) making village. 'To He' is a traditional Vietnamese toy that local children are exceedingly fond of. Dating back to the 17th century, To He is made of glutinous rice powder in the form of edible figurines such as animals, flowers or characters in folk stories. Far removed from modern digital toys, To He remains as one of the rare surviving traditional toys of Vietnam. Visit a workshop and see the skills of the craftsmen!
After that, transfer to Ninh Binh to visit Tam Coc, excursion in a rowing boat to admire a magnificent and enchanting natural landscape. Cross the three caves of Tam Coc which pierce the mountains- a spectacle that is both sublime and relaxing! After this moment of boating, you will go for a bike ride to all the Bich Dong pagodas built on the hillside. Overnight at hotel in Ninh Binh.

Day 13. Ninh Binh – Halong Bay

After breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer to Halong Bay. Along the way, enjoy the diverse landscape, ranging from rice plantations to the meandering rivers, very typical of the Red River Delta. Arrive at the boat pier around noon. We board our cruise to discover this spectacular place. Lunch is served on board as the cruise glides through numerous islands and limestone rocks rising from the emerald waters. It is the idea place to relax and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. Discover the truest beauty of the limestone mountains and the blue sky of Ha Long Bay by a kayak or a rowing boat. Back to the cruise and enjoy a sunset party before savoring a fresh seafood dinner on board. A sweet night on the cruise in your private cabin.

Day 14. Halong Bay – Hanoi

Morning view of the Bay’s landscape with a cup of tea or coffee. Have breakfast in the fresh air. Explore one of the well-hidden cave. Check out of the cabin. Start cruising towards the harbor while a brunch is served. Disembark the boat and transfer back to Hanoi. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.
Transfer Ha Long – Ha Noi: 180 km (about 3h)

Day 15. Hanoi departure

Free time until transfer to the airport for the journey home.
